The result of the 2013 project selection of NSFC-Guangdong Joint Fund was released recently, SYSU has been granted four Key Projects and one Fostering Project of NSFC-Guangdong Joint Fund. The principal investigators of the four Key Projects are respectively Prof. Meng Yuezhong from School of Physics and Engineering, Prof. Wu Mingmei from School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Prof. Shen Huiyong and Prof. Lin Tianxin from Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital; the principal investigator of the Fostering Project is Prof. Kuang Ersheng from Zhongshan School of Medicine.

In addition, Prof. Sun Xiaoming from School of Marine Sciences has been granted a Key Project of NSFC-Yunnan Joint Fund.

It is learned that in 2013 NSFC-Guangdong Joint Fund will support 29 Key Projects and 3 Fostering Projects nationwide.
